I agree with Lynn, kudos to Ron and Sham..... but please fellahs don't get interested in tattooing and start doing that for free.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 293I just got my W&B from Sham and shaved with it the first time this morning. He honed it to perfection and I had my best straight shave yet. I didn't cut myself, the blade didn't pull at all (even on my really thick beard), and my confidence shot way up. I guess that's why everybody is preaching about a great honing and proper stropping.
Thanks again hi_bud_gl.

Thanked: 3795I already deal with enough needles at work and my artistic talent is nil. I actually had an art teacher in high school insist that the only way she would pass me was if I promised to never, ever, take another art class. I've had no problem keeping that promise. So, don't worry Jimmy, you're safe on my end.

Thanked: 3795I'm way past the three razors offer but I'll continue to take on new requests as they come in. If I get behind, then I'll stop taking on new ones until I get caught up.
For now, just PM me if you need your razor to be honed. Please let me know what kind of razor it is and what its condition is. I'll take on just about anything except for the crap on SRP's do not buy list and razors with severe damage.

Ron, only because I am interested in making a similar offer, I ask how experienced were you with the hones before offering?
I've been at this since Feb, and sharpen all my blades to my satisfaction. My progression ends with 16k shapton, followed by stropping on paste, cotton, leather.
Cant assure that my blades are the sharpest ...but always comfortable and sharp enough to give my bbs.
What's your suggestion on when to go public? And do you think the extra honing has sharpened your skills? By the way, very generous offer.
Jim

I'll take you up on that offer just to see if you can get an edge on the razor(assuming of course I'm not to late). The razor is a Bengall round point I bought at an antique store. I've tried for some time now to hone it and get nowhere. PM me if interest in the challenge.
