Thanked: 3795Free Razor Honing
As a follow-up to this thread, I made a repeat offering for honing a few more razors but I realized some might not read to the end of such an old thread. For that reason, I am repeating my last post in that thread here.
Since I'd like to establish myself as at least a semi-competent honer, let's do it again...
I'll do free honing for three more razors. I'd like to reserve this for three newer members that need help with one of their first razors. However, if Gugi wants one honed, that's fine, I'll just add that as a fourth razor!
Please post here and/or send me a PM if you are interested and give me a brief description of the razor you want to have honed.

Now let's be honest, is this not just an attempt to be able to hold other nice razors that aren't your own???
Great offer, one day when I'm more confident in my honing abilities I hope to be able to offer the same service.

To Utopian and any other kind souls who follow his lead, I will offer, free, three stickers to place on the honed blade.....something to the effect:
WARNING!! In case you'd hadn't noticed, this is a straight razor designed to cut facial hair. It's a damn sharp son of a bitch and will lop off or slice through about anything that comes in contact with it. Because you asked me to sharpen it for you, and because I sharpened it for you, it is sharper than when you last fondled it. If you elect to touch this very sharp implement you will have released me from all liability for doing what you asked me to do, etc etc etc

Utopian,
I've got a razor that needs help! I'm a college student on a budget, so your offer would really be a grand help! I have to run off to class, but I can send you pictures/text description of the blade tonight! It's an old G. Wostenholm I-XL...
BTW, I see you're from Iowa...whereabouts are you? I'm originally from the Waverly area.

Thanked: 172Utopian; Posted this reply in other thread, but thought you might more likely see it here.
Newbie's LET HIM DO IT. I just got mine back from him and it is extremely sharp. And he did this to a $10 DA, so imagine what can be done with better steel!!! Thank you again UtopianConsider where you will spend ETERNITY !!!!!!

Thanked: 3795For now, I'm full up with requests.
Last time my 3 razor offer ended up being 7. This time I'm cutting it off at 5 and that does include BKratchmer.
If you still want to get in on a subsequent offer, please post in this thread to be added to a waiting list. As I finish a couple of the razors, I'll PM you let you know when to send yours.
