Ron, sorry to hear about the affliction. Been there and I know it isn't at all pleasant. I do trail work with an off road bicycle club and I've gotten some poison ivy problems when I foolishly wore shorts while we cut new trail. There is this stuff called Tecnu Extreme that helps. Best used when you are first exposed but better than nothing. Hope your skin is back to normal sooner than later.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 3795I don't know if they are the same, buy I experienced stinging nettles many times while while growing up on my parent's farm. They certainly cause irritation as well but the symptoms don't seem to last as long.
Regarding bartering for my services, I'm doing free honings so I'm not sure what you have to offer that would be worthless. I am only doing one free honing per person but I am willing to accept the relatively standard fee for additional razors. If you do wish to do some kind of barter, just send me a PM.

nettles and ivy are different
one bothers you for a day
the other heals up 1-2 weeks later
perhaps Ron will chime in regarding what would happen if this video was about ivy

When my razor arrived back from Ron I couldn't wait, It had either got lost or mixed up in the 4th of july rush and took nearly 3 weeks to get to him. I opened the package and peeled back the bubble wrap. Woah! This thing seemed to emit energy like it could cut the very fabric of time and space (I Got nicked just looking at the edge).
This gave me a very unsettling feeling, If this is what Ron is capable of (as he describes himself a "competent honer") what kind of power is Lynn putting into untested hands!
LOL anyway thanks to Utopian's very generouse offer I now own a razor w/ an edge capable of popping off hairs even w/ my god awful newbie technique.
He even centered the blade and tightened the pivot pin for me, what a guy!

I just tried the second razor I sent Ron! Super sharp!!! and Super Comfort!!!
The edge is so incredibly comfortable that I can do several passes with ZERO razor burn. No joke, my techniques just stinks right now, but this is the first time I have ever shaved 2 days in a row with Zero razor burn.
I will be sending Utopian my blades for honing in the future. Thanks Ron!
