Thanked: 3795I'm way past the three razors offer but I'll continue to take on new requests as they come in. If I get behind, then I'll stop taking on new ones until I get caught up.
For now, just PM me if you need your razor to be honed. Please let me know what kind of razor it is and what its condition is. I'll take on just about anything except for the crap on SRP's do not buy list and razors with severe damage.

Thanked: 3795Sorry, I might have been unclear. You are not too late. I'm now offering to hone a lot more than three razors for free. I'm willing to take on just about any kind of razor, except for one from Jimmy.
There is no longer a three razor limit. If you need a razor to be honed and you are relatively new to straight shaving, I will hone your razor for free. There is no longer a limit to the number that I am willing to take on, though I may stop after one or two hundred. If you have more than one razor that you need to have honed, I may charge you a discounted rate for the extra razors.
To Cutalot, I'm willing to hone your razor for free but the postage both ways between Switzerland and the US is on you and would likely make it not worthwhile. I'll leave that decision up to you.

LOL literally. I'm tempted to throw my hat into the ring with Utopian and hi_bud_gl and hone some for free but I'm too lazy and have more to do than I can take care of now between my own razors, bicycles and work. Down the road though I might take a stab at it. Meanwhile three cheers for Utopian.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm pretty sure Ron's horn has been blasted enough, but I'm going to play it some more.
He honed my brand-new Dovo for me and I can't praise him enough. He kept me up-to-date on all advancements and cleared up a factory defect in the steel for me. He even sent me info on how to touch it up in the future, if his wonder-edge ever fails. Seriously, he put up with me pm'ing him every hour to see how my baby was doing. He tightened up the pins and made the blade center better in the scales.
+2 kudos to Ron!

Thanked: 137Question: what's the story with postage here? I'm getting a couple of razors sent my way, but if/when they need honing I'll have to send them away. I assume you'd need me to paypal (or however you take payment) for postage?

The way I went about it is I went to FedEx and put my razor and a pre-paid return envelope inside a large envelope. This way, when he's done, he just puts your razor inside the envelope you sent him, and the post-fairy delivers it to your door.
