Thanked: 2so disappointing, should have read the wiki
I can't state enough the value of the wiki and the input of the experienced members here are.
I received my brand new Master USA straight razor in the mail today from Ebay, complete with it's 440 stainless china blade. Honestly it can't even cut paper.
The blade is not the only point of failure in that the scales are pretty loose so that the blade flops in and out freely.
Also the heel of the blade comes out just beyond the scales when folded up so that if it were sharp it would be a danger to handle.
The blade is almost straight but not enough to keep it from smacking the scales when folding.
I read in a post that XMAN used butterknifes to practice shaving before his gear arrived, that's about all one coud do with this blade save for try to look menacing I guess.
Save your money and read the wiki!

Sorry to hear that man. Check in the classifieds there's some razors in there for pretty good prices.

Thanked: 172I know the feeling, bought a Zeepk before reading this forum. But since have contracted RAD and have about 10, but these shave. Sent some out for honing, and with the help of members from this site am now able to get prettry good results on honing just under shave ready blades. Haven't tried a stone dull one yet.
Keep reading in this site and good luck!
