Gettin' Better
Well, it's been awhile since I've checked in. I've improved greatly on my shaving and am even able to go ATG on my neck. I still get the occasional nick, especially when using a spike point, but am even learning how to not do that.
My biggest issue now is my soap. I was using Col. Conk, but I think it's drying rather quickly and makes it harder to shave. I've ordered some Tabac to see how that works out.
I've also controlled the RAD. I have three razors now (one still needs to be honed), but I had to quickly realize that I'm not made out of money and having too many razors wasn't going to help pay other bills. Anyway, I've been extremely busy, and hanging out here makes me want to spend more, so I'm not on here too much, but thought I'd check in.

Thanked: 4112Stones, thanks for the update. Glad to hear that the shaves are coming along. If you are having problems with soaps you might want to try creams. If you haven't you might really like them, I do.
Keep up the progress.
Happy Shaving.

Thanked: 3795If you send me a PM and let me know what kind of razor you need to have honed, I'll do it for free.
Good for you to holding it down to three razors. It is possible to do straight shaving on the cheap.

Thanked: 172Glad to hear that alll is working out well. After a year I still nick myself when in a hurry. As it was drilled into me at work [ a gas utility co. ] accidents usually happen during simple routine tasks because your mostly on auto-pilot. RAD con happen quickly, I went from 1 to 6 almost immidiately and to 10 in about 6 months.
