Default Got a place to store my razors

Got tired of leaving them on the dresser and being nervous that they would be somehow knocked off since not all of my razors have boxes so after reading a few threads i came up with this

got it from michael's arts n craft store for $20 and i already had the hook screws. i didnt like the original grey background so i wrapped it in black felt. made some extra spots for my w&b i'm working on right now and the torrey that's on it's way as well as whatever else i can fill the slots with

i honestly dont have the slightest clue. my gf's father gave it to me under the condition that i never sell it and actually use it. since it seems to mean so much to him i plan on restoring it. i don't even know what kind of razor it is. it had the same plastic material on the tang and engraved in it was "velvet edge" but it's so old the plastic is extremely brittle especially on the tang. the scales had a crack in it so i used some plastic weld epoxy to kind of hold it together and it worked since it's clear-ish but still left that little brown spot you can see.

ha that'd be really nice if this were a DD, but i honestly dont know. some of the plastic on the tang was broken off already so the only marking it had that id'd anything at all was the velvet edge.

It looks really nice but one concern, won't the edges of the cup hooks scratch the scales?

Very cool, especially since it was already pretty much assembled!

Note: saw this great idea in another post.

Get some heat shrink and cover the cup hooks!

yeah over time i could see how it might scratch the scales but there is a good amount of space between the scales and the point of the hook. but i'll definitely look into some heat shrink.
