    I am usnavysubs (or Jeff, as I prefer my first name )

    I am brand new to the straight razor scene, and am mainly getting into it to get away from all the chemicals used in the shaving process, as well as the skin irritation.

    A little background on me...

    I am 23 yrs old...my wife and I are expecting our first child(ren) (not sure if its twins or not yet) here in January. I am currently on Active Duty with the US Navy, and I am stationed at Fort Meade, MD.

    I am into antique and unique things, as my brand new shaving mug and soap and brush are all handmade by a work at home mom, and are all 100% organic, outside of the badger hair. So..right now I am on a quest to buy some antique razors off ebay or some other vendor, and have them restored by a professional...

    Anyways, enough about me... Just thought it prudent to introduce myself before throwing myself into the boards.
