Im starting to get I dark marks on my razor, I guess water marks besides the visual aspect do I have to worry about rusting in those areas and if so what do I do about them and how do I prevent them? BTW Been shaving with a straight for about a week now and its not too bad my neck is a little mad at me lol but just have to hone my skills Great shave I'll never go back to junk mass marketed razors again

Thanked: 317Welcome to SRP. Those spots are pretty common. High carbon steel does that. Rust certainly can start to form in those areas.
If you just want to prevent rust, and don't care about the look of the dark spots, you could put some mineral oil or baby oil or pretty much any kind of oil you wouldn't mind getting on your face, on the blade of the razors between shaves.
If the dark spots bother you, you could get some maas and polish them off by hand, but be very very careful to keep the maas AND your fingers away from the edge.
Also, there is a HUGE amount of info in the wiki. Just follow the link at the top of the page for all sorts of good tips.
