    Default Dealing with uni-brow

Hello Gents (and any Ladies who might be reading),

Ok, I'm going to come clean here...

Without any maintenance, I definitely would have some serious unibrow action. I use my Mach Gazillion right now for this because I'm a big baby and plucking stinks.

I'm still rather inexperienced with a straight razor (but getting better all the time!), so getting a really sharp, large, metal blade in the vicinity of my eyes is not quite my thing as of yet.

Just curious... anyone here use a straight to keep the ole' 'brows in check?

    Thanks,
    WP421

It's not impossible. I'm as new at this as possible and I figured out how to do it. Make sure the hair's softened, stretch out the skin, and use a light touch.

That hair is so soft on me (my inter-brow area), that I just dab on some water, perhaps some oil for glide, and use a spike point for precision, if it is good and sharp, I can just wipe the hair away. Carefully.

maybe you could shoot it off?

I'd probably have one too if I weren't on top of it.

What about these people who walk around with a caterpillar on their face?
    What are they thinking?

You mean a moustache? Had one for almost 40 years! Was part of a full beard in the '60s but I wised up and shaved off the beard in the mid '70s. I felt I needed to keep something as a reminder so left the 'stash. When I got into straight razor shaving I just couldn't stop so off it came!

Boy was I surprised at how tough those whiskers were and how sensitive the skin, which hid behind its little bush all those years.

he is talking about huge bushy unibrows that some guys have ... i personally have them trimmed and waxed when I get a haircut...and my wife plucks them every non and then too when she feels the need.

Wow! If I had ever asked my wife (at the time) to do that, I think she would have stabbed me in the eye 'accidentally'.

Guess I'll stick with my disposable for now, until I get better with a straight, then pick up a spike at some point (kinda punny, eh?) and then give it a go...

A Schick injector works as well, and usually will have a sharper blade than a cartridge. The unibrow, and the nose and ear hairs, and the hairs that grow on your earlobes are all good candidates for an injector. (Or a Bic 2-blade disposable, if that's what you can find.)
