Dealing with uni-brow
Hello Gents (and any Ladies who might be reading),
Ok, I'm going to come clean here...
Without any maintenance, I definitely would have some serious unibrow action. I use my Mach Gazillion right now for this because I'm a big baby and plucking stinks.
I'm still rather inexperienced with a straight razor (but getting better all the time!), so getting a really sharp, large, metal blade in the vicinity of my eyes is not quite my thing as of yet.
Just curious... anyone here use a straight to keep the ole' 'brows in check?
Thanks,
WP421

Thanked: 2It's not impossible. I'm as new at this as possible and I figured out how to do it. Make sure the hair's softened, stretch out the skin, and use a light touch.

That hair is so soft on me (my inter-brow area), that I just dab on some water, perhaps some oil for glide, and use a spike point for precision, if it is good and sharp, I can just wipe the hair away. Carefully.

maybe you could shoot it off?
I'd probably have one too if I weren't on top of it.
What about these people who walk around with a caterpillar on their face?
What are they thinking?

Thanked: 143You mean a moustache? Had one for almost 40 years! Was part of a full beard in the '60s but I wised up and shaved off the beard in the mid '70s. I felt I needed to keep something as a reminder so left the 'stash. When I got into straight razor shaving I just couldn't stop so off it came!
Boy was I surprised at how tough those whiskers were and how sensitive the skin, which hid behind its little bush all those years.

Wow! If I had ever asked my wife (at the time) to do that, I think she would have stabbed me in the eye 'accidentally'.
Guess I'll stick with my disposable for now, until I get better with a straight, then pick up a spike at some point (kinda punny, eh?) and then give it a go...

A Schick injector works as well, and usually will have a sharper blade than a cartridge. The unibrow, and the nose and ear hairs, and the hairs that grow on your earlobes are all good candidates for an injector. (Or a Bic 2-blade disposable, if that's what you can find.)
