Hi there...
Hello,
I have been wanting to try a straight razor for only the last 30 years or so, and hopefully I will be able to try one within the next few months (I have to get one, first).I have only been shaving with a DE for the past three months, so this is a start. I am glad that you folks are here, and I am sure that I will be asking a lot of questions and doing a LOT of reading!
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Welcome aboard! And to the right way to shave. Besides a shave ready razor you will also need the following at a minimum:
1. Shave Cream/Soap (personal choice)
2. Brush (from $10 to obscene prices)
3. Strop (hanging is best, but a paddle will work too)
Eventually you should also get a strop for pasting and/or a barbers hone so you can refresh your edge. I also highly recommend a copy of Lynn's CD. It contains over 3 hours of valuable information on most aspects of the razor, including shaving with it.

Welcome to SRP. Lots of info on straight shaving here as you probably have noticed. Read through the WIKI on this site and don't be shy about asking questions. The archives are very extensive so a search may answer your questions and expose you to other interesting and helpful info.
Good luck!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
