Thanked: 0New from upstate NY
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine recommended that I check this forum out. I haven't ever tried a straight razor but I am interested in trying it in the future. I'm here to check out information and learn as much as I can for now. I'm 29 years old and work as a cook at a little deli right now. I'm in the process of trying to find a new job and hoping it all works out.Last edited by NYJohn; 06-11-2009 at 11:13 PM.

Welcome.
Spend some time in the WIKI and ask a lot of questions.
Check out the classifieds for a good razor.
Enjoy.

Welcome to SRP! Read through the WIKI and newbie forum to get your feet wet. There are a bunch of us from Albany to Buffalo that may be able to meet up with you once you get started. Keep an eye open for a Western NY meet. We've been meeting in the Rochester area but if someone wants to have a meet near Albany or Ithaca I'm sure the Rochester group would car pool to the meet, hint, hint. In any event I am sure there will be at least on meet this summer. If the meet turns out to be in Buffalo the guys from east would be welcome to ride with us.
Anyway, ask questions, search the archives and have fun!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
