    Default Pre Shave?

I wanted to get a pre shave oil but I wanted to know if the oil will mess up the razor or brush? I was looking at one of them and it was water soluble and it wont damage anything and its easier to clean but it was really expensive. Does any have any advise to which one would be better to get?

There are several that I've used personally. AOS and Truefitt & Hill are both good products. The AOS is a heavier solution that is not water soluable, while the T&H is lighter and I believe water soluable. I've since stopped using pre-shaves in my prep and now simply lather before stropping followed by a hot towel and then another lather to begin the shave, seems to work well. I know there are a few other oils out there that have been discussed but I'm not certain of their names. Kiehl's makes a decent product that is also water soluable and cheaper than T&H as well.

    Good luck,

Never thought of that They smell so good I'd be disappointed to cover it up.

You can also use hair conditioner as a preshave. Plus it's good to use on your badger brush after you've cleaned it.
