    Default newbie strop question

    I know this is probably a dumb question but i have a 2 piece strop one leather and the other canvas/web. Which side of the leather strop do you strop on. the very smooth finished side or the rougher unfinish rawhide side

    the smooth side should be used and the strop should be broken in so as to work properly. good luck and enjoy SR shaving
