Thanked: 20reading and shaving
Before I ventured in SR shaving, I read every article, advise, wiki info, saw every how to shave video, studied facial schematics and diagrams in the internet I could access. I became an expert SR shaver, I had full knowledge in SR shaving. I was giving advise to my friends in SR shaving. I was ready to venture in SR shaving with the positive knowledge of all my previous reading and viewing in the internet. I read advise from guys who have been shaving for 100 years and I took it to heart. There, alone, me, my face, the mirror and a very sharp edged straight razor, should I read more about SR shaving or should I go back to my double edge razor that I hate. This is when the real learning begins, it took awhile to even master a minimal skill in shaving with a SR. Read and view all you want about SR shaving and become an expert before the first shave, but learning begins with the first contact. Juan

There is only one way to learn to shave with a straight . You have to actually do it . Start off by only shaving only your cheeks , and fiinish shaving with your normal razor . After a few shaves you will begin to "get a feel" for the razor , and can become more adventerous . Keep your blade angle low , and don't press the edge into your face . Stop reading , and start shaving .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .
