Welcome to SRP, and the right way to shave!
As already advised, read through the forums and the Wiki. There is a great wealth of information on this site. And such a friendly group too.
In particular read and heed this thread:

Lynn is one of the few of our members who has forgotten more about straight razor shaving than a good majority of our members has learned.
You are going to need the following right at the start:
1. Shave ready razor (don't be afraid to ask about this)
2. Shave cream/soap (personal choice)
3. Strop (hanging is best, paddle will work)
4. Brush (from $10 to obscene prices)
Also, you should start looking for a pasting strop (you can use the linen side of your strop with CrO or diamond paste/spray), or a barbers hone to touch up the edge when the razor begins to tug. You won't need that right at start. A copy of Lynn's CD is also great for new straight shavers because it contains a great amount of information that will be very helpful to you.
Above all, take your time. It's not a race. Enjoy the experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions...

I'm proud to be an Okie from Muskogee,
A place where even squares can have a ball
We still wave Old Glory down at the courthouse,
And white lightnin's still the biggest thrill of all
Welcome!
We have active members scattered around the state and we keep talking about getting together as a group. maybe someday we will actually do it
