Thanked: 20seeing is believing
When I was a little kid in the mid 1950's in Havana, I used to watch American cartoons on our TV at home. One of these cartoons had a cartoon character barber stropping a razor and afterward he would pull a hair from his head and cut it in half, length ways before shaving the cartoon character customer. My brother and I would laugh in disbelieve as this was impossible to accomplish. More than 50 years later I was lucky enough to purchase a Robert Williams custom made razor. A quarter hollow, 8/8 size blade with an edge more like a Buck 110 model pocket knife than a regular straight razor. This particular razor was personally honed by Robert (a wonderful guy) especially to my liking. I took one of my hairs, before stropping or shaving with it and actually cut the hair in half length ways where the hair curled out both side. I tried it again and again. That cartoon more than 50 years ago was based on actual fact. You can make a straight hair curled with a Robert Williams razor. I am sure there are many other razors that can accomplish this cut. But this razor is mine. Juan
