Default I am proud to say that

This morning I did my fourth straight razor shave, I do not do straight razor shaves during the week due to my lack of prowess with the blade, and I managed to come away without cutting myself and did the job a little bit faster. Perhaps with a little bit more practice I can do it during the week instead of the safeties that I generally use during the week.

I like to do a full 3 pass shave, and that will take me about 20min with the prep- I'm usually rushed in the morning so I shave before I go to bed. The shave is so darn close-- it will last me through the workday and then some.

It usually takes me 2 passes to look presentable but I have started moving just a smidge earlier in the mornings so I can use my str8. The more practice you get the more comfortable you'll feel. I think you'll put those nasty little disposables down soon enough. Keep up the good work.

When I first started I was so slow that the lather would dry up on one side before I got 1 WTG pass done on the other. Wasn't long before I was getting it finished in a reasonable amount of time. Now I can do a 2 pass shave pretty quick and I'm not rushing at all. I enjoy my shaves. You'll be finding the same improvement with practice.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

When I first started it took me almost an hour to complete a shave, and that didn't include all directions. It got a little better after about 20 shaves. Every time I tried to speed things up a little I ended up cutting myself. You are doing just fine. Take your time and don't worry about how long it takes. As you gain experience your time will take care of itself. I finished my 107th shave today and with prep it takes just a little under 20 min. and is the most relaxing time of my day.

Congrats, pretty soon time will have no meaning whilst shaving with your straight. The shaves get better in time! I have yet to stop enjoying my straight shaves, I cannot imagine shaving with anything else!

You'll get there. I've been at this a month or so and am just now seeing a marked improvement in speed. Down from about an hour to 30-40 min.
