You don't do things by half, do you?!?

Money doesn't seem to be a major concern for you, but the Dovo Renaissance is cheaper at Straight Razor Designs, it will be honed properly and you get another free hone of that blade included in the price. If that is the razor you have your heart set on, then that seems to be the place to buy from.

I try not to do things by half... like I said life experience.

Money is a concern but again, like I said, after buying a cheap product, and spending twice it's value in repair, I found out it's generally better to buy top of the line if possible. No problems (usually).

Also, I'm still young at 24 so this is something I'd be using for the rest of my life. Lotta years of use...

Thanks for the heads up about the Renaissance at SRD. I don't have my heart set on it, but it is one of many I'm currently thinking about. I noticed they don't say if it's a half hallow or not.

Is that something retailers generally leave out?

Welcome read the wiki ask many questions and go slow you will oneday produce bbs shaves but not right off the bat. The best advice I can give be patient as you learn to shave you will have oh no moments but with time they will become ah ha moments. Believe me there is nothulike a good shave.
