    Default Belated Hello...

    Hi everyone,

    I wanted to say Hi and formally introduce myself. I ended up making my first post in the workshop, and since then I have been posting here and there. I just realized that I should have done this first! Sorry!

    I have never shaved with a straight before. I transitioned to a DE last January 1st and have been obsessed with shaving ever since. I sent a 5/8ths and a 6/8ths to get professionally honed. I can't wait to start!!!

    I have been reading a lot about shaving and stropping technique late into the night, and this never gets old or boring. I have officially found my first hobby in years! Thank you all at SRP for the great advice

    Welcome. You already know the vast ammounts of information here just when you recieve your razors take your time, the learning curve is different for everyone.

    Thank you all for your replies. I am sure I will have tons of questions when I begin shaving! I will check out Anticipation, and the wiki more in the following days.

    Btw, does straight shaving ever get boring? I hope not, so far I have been searching about razors, soaps, AS splashes, brushes, strops, etc... for what it seems to be months, I hope it continues!

    I've been at this about 7 months now and I'm not bored yet. There's always something new to learn. And there's the ADs (Acquisition Disorders). I now have a full rotation of str8s, shave creams / soaps, and after shaves, so every day is something different. I fit my razor, lather, and AS to my mood. Welcome to SRP and enjoy!

    I think I am getting a few AD's as well. It is good to hear that this is not just a temporary thing!
