    Default Which brush

I swear i'll stop making threads, i've nearly completed my collection of starting essentials. All I need now is a brush and I think I am ready.

I decided on a "Best badger" brush out of the choices available, and the amount of money i'm willing to spend at this moment.

Here are the brushes I can't decide from:
Main page: Shaving brush, shaving brushes online, quality shaving brush gifts UK

    1) shaving brush, shaving brushes, badger brush, badger brushes, badger shaving brushes UK
    2) shaving brush, shaving brushes, badger brush, badger brushes, badger shaving brushes UK
    3) Rooney best badger faux ebony badger shaving brush UK
    4) Rooney best badger faux ivory badger shaving brush UK
    5) shaving brush, shaving brushes, badger brush, badger brushes, badger shaving brushes UK

Are there any major differences between the hair or is it just the handle i'm deciding from ?

The ESs are the same type of brush, just different handles. The Rooneys are the same type of brush, different handle. Where the debate comes in is the difference between the ES knot and the Rooney knot. FWIW, I've never heard anything bad about Rooney brushes and they're sure to please.

From looking at these they all seem to be Best Badger. As you mentioned that you want to stay here for the price, I'd recommend a Rooney, I've got a Super 3/1 which is a terrific brush for both soaps and creams. Just a thought.

    Enjoy,

    Joe

Looks like 1, 2, and 5 are the same knot different handle design/color.
3 and 4 look like also the same (different) brush but without any details on the knot, except that you can figure out the bristle length.

i have a rooney, which i swear by, but a very different one.

Fair enough. I'll trust your opinion and go for the Rooney brushes. Thanks

The ECS knots (which i assume is the look but i'll research later) look a lot nicer. Just an observation.
