Default Is this a good buy?

SO. I have read all about how some do and some dont like Stainless Steel, I have heard OK and nothing really bad about Henckels. I am getting a larger razor I guess you can say heading in to butcher? territory? but because I am bidding on a 6/8 also. I figure the other women have generally posted about leaning toward larger razors and I am getting the other one for my boyfriend and since we just starting were gonna try a few anyway. Its now going toward 70 dollars. I really feel like I am drowing iono if I should chase it or not? I really dont want to go after something that is not worth it. The seller was also recomended to me. Oh and if your the one out bidding me then, well you really want it that bad? Ill lay off.

This is a J. A. Henckels, Friodur Inox, stainless steel straight razor that was made in Solingen, Germany.
This stainless steel blade is frozen tempered by a deep freezing process. This deep freezing process is called
cryogenic hardening, at temperatures approximately 80 degrees below zero, and the outcome of this method
of tempering assures a blade with an extra sharp and longer lasting cutting edge than plain carbon steel blades.
It is said that deep frozen razors shave gentler, smoother, cleaner and glide as smooth as velvet over the skin.
Frozen tempered razors only have to be honed once or twice a year. They also are much easier to take care of
since they have great rust resistance compared to plain carbon steel blades. They are considered the best quality
    blades available.

This razor shows no prior usage, and is in perfect, absolutely defect and blemish free condition.. It has a large and heavy 7/8 wide, satin finish, hollow ground, spike point with muted tip, blade. The factory original celluloid handles are in perfect defect and blemish free condition. This razor comes with what appears to be it's original box that is in perfect defect free condition. Recently honed to provide a smooth, close and comfortable shave, this razor has been "shave ready tested", and it comes shave ready.

You can get more than one quality razor for that money from the Classifieds. Unless I wanted a razor really badly, I would not pay as much for it. And I am talking about rare razors, not the one you are after.

hard to say without the listing or the pictures, but if it is a friodur 7/8 in good condition from a reputable seller, you'll see it go for MUCH more than what it is right now. Yeah, classifieds might be a good place to look... for the money

It's a good RAZOR.Won't know if it's a good buy till the auction is over. These go quite high if in NOS condition as this is supposed to be.Put in your highest bid cause the snipers will bid at about 4 sec.....

The advice BeBerlin gave you is well worth noting. There are some very nice razors in there for a fair price. There is no need to sweat people out bidding you and the people in the Classifieds are friendly and will answer all of your questions if they haven't already in the forums.

As a semi new guy myself, sometimes I wish I would have paid more attention to the Classifieds before buying the razor I did. There are some beautiful razors in there.

Friodurs are very nice razors, and there are 4 more days on this auction so it's very unlikely that the end price will remain as low as it currently is.
