    Default New Strop Red on Spine of Razor

    I've got a brand new strop, a Red Latigo from SRD. I noticed tonight while I was stropping there was some red on the spine of my razor. I wiped it off and realized it was material from the strop. Just a fine dusting that had accumulated along the spine where the razor contacts the stone. Just wondering if this is normal or if maybe I'm pressing too hard.

    Hi Kent,

    Totally normal. The Latigo strops have a lot of oil and wax on them. Keep hand rubbing the strop.
