I'll post an update to this thread as soon as I get the package. I'll tell how it all went and post some pictures of this great gift that the folks here at SRP gave me.

From one n00b to another Welcome aboard Jose. I'm new to straight shaving too. I just bookmarked 60 some threads now in regards to honing, stropping etc...

There's so much info I've been reading up on weeks now. I'm committed and hopefully you will be to Jose

I guess it will take another 3-4 weeks to be delivered. I´ve been to the customs today and they said the package is probably already there but without a tracking number they can´t speed up the delivery, I´ll have to wait the normal processing of the goods.

From my experience, this "normal processing" it takes about 30 days to happen.

I´ll keep you all up to date with the delivery/arrival of the kit.

Jose I wonder what purpose they would have for a US tracking number. That certainly must be aggravating. We'll keep our fingers crossed that things don't take that long.

Thanks Lewis--I think we have the best forum of any type on the net! It turned out to be an international effort at that thanks to Trev in the UK. I just got an email from Jose and the package made it there ok now he's just waiting on their customs clearance:-)

Jose is going to take a pic but it contains:

Barber hone
Shave soap
Strop
A sample pack of shave cream and after shave
Two razors
and a couple of little extras.
Everybody really did great pitching in:-)
