30 seconds, swirl the brush on the puck, then swirl the brush 30 seconds on the face. You may need to dip the tips of your brush in the water to build the lather more effectively. You will gain a sense of when the lather needs more water to make the lather rich enough and this depends on the brush as well. The cheaper the brush, the less water the hairs holds after you soak the brush in hot water.

I clean up the excess suds that are left over on the puck. Also, I don't use a mug as I just whip up the lather on the puck as it comes with a form fitting plastic container.

The second and third passes, it will take less time to generate the lather.

Also, I use castille soap as my "preshave" oil since it has a lot of oils in it.

Good Luck!

Hmmm, well i already threw the plastic container in the trash that came with it hah. Im just trying to figure out the best way to make this soap last long. The first kind i got a month ago was from wal mart and i burned through it pretty quickly.
