As a wife and having a joint bank account, I can say that it is not as big a detriment to indulgience in AD's. In fact I for the most part am encouraging or at least enabling this

Yep, CarrieM encourages me! Guess it could be worse. I've been honing razors every week for almost a year now. When I don't have any to hone I feel lost and start rescaling some blades that may or may not need it. I really don't think there is any cure for this. My goal was to shave with every razor I have starting this past mid December. I don't think I made through January before new razors started piling up. They were freshly honed of course. I have yet to get back to shaving trough my collection. I think at last count I had 24 razors I haven't shaved with yet and we were planning on going on the hunt again a couple of times more before summer ends.
I can't imagine what it would be like if CarrieM gave me grief about the collection. I don't even want to go there.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Thanked: 326I picked up a dozen samples of soaps and test sample aftershave from Colleen ( thegentlemensquarter ). A razor, razor set from SRD, and 2 used straight razors from classifieds. Pretty sure I would've bought more if the $30-35 ones weren't sold. :P
