It's here!
Greetings from Croatia everyone,
well my straight razor arrived from SRD and I'm .
I'm 25 and have recently become interested in straights and have since been lurking here reading about razors, strops, brushes, soaps and various related ADs. While my original desire was to cut down on disposables and save money I really like the self reliance and deliberation that come with straight razor.
I want to thank all the members of the forum for helping newbies and providing wonderful info on all aspects of straight shaving.
Well I'm off to ladies' corner to get some pointers on leg shaving so the first experience won't be too bloody.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I just had my first shave this morning. Loved it. Scent of blood orange, sharpness of the razor, cuteness of the little brush. Two cuts but I didn't even feel them. I did use cold water for lather as it's so hot right now. It had a nice cooling effect. Is this alright? Or does everyone use hot water even in summer?

Thanked: 3795You will likely get a better shave if you use hot water for your lather. You might want to save the cold water for your rinse AFTER your shave. It looks like you got great stuff. Good luck figuring out how to use it!
