Thread: Why i started

hey all well my name is Gerardo. I found this site looking to buy some new razors for my grandfather and decided to join because of all the information i found useful, although he was the first to teach me everything bout straight razor shaving.

As a boy i would get some of the shaving soap he would use, put it on my face and get a safety razors which had no blade and pretend i was shaving with him.

now 21, I have been straight shaving for little more than a year now and i feel so confident that now i shave my male family member. They all enjoy it and prefer coming to me for their shave rather the a barber shop.

i also started my own little collection of razors but nothing to fancy yet. hopefully pretty soon i will get a Mastro Livi or a Robert Williams maybe even both only time will tell.

So thank you all for letting me join and for teaching me more about the straight shaving world

OOOOO before i for get ..... what do you people prefer Mastro Livi or a Robert Williams as my first custom razors .... i will take everything in cosidaration

Asking which of those two is better is a bit like asking which super model people would rather wake up to. Most people would prefer one over the other, but nobody agrees on which one, and either way, you're still waking up next to a super model.

Between those two, I'd get the Williams even if I had to wait a year.
