    It sounds like your razor isn't sharp enough. Did you get it brand new but not honed?

    After a good honing that makes the blade pass the hanging hair test is it sufficient to give it 20 or so passes on the green pasted paddle strop to bring back the edge?

    I did buy it new and it was honed by the world's best honer. My issue came around the 3rd shave. As I had not been stropping properly, my razor lost its edge and I had to figure out what to do. I have gotten better at stropping and the edge is now very sharp and the shave excellent. See above posts for the epic adventure. My fault, not the razor or razor honer!
