Thanked: 190The neck area under the greater chin area was my last area to get great BBS results. My third pass is all about finishing this area with the best angles and the pitch of the blade.
All I can advise is just practice and it will come to you over time with some effort. Each person is a little different and each straight blade behaves a little differently. I studied up on the SRP wiki and thought a lot about how I would improve on each shave until I finally got it correct.
Good Luck!

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for your replies. After reading the advice again and really trying to go WTG. I realized that the simpler N-to-S on my neck was the problem because of the way my neck hair grows.
Today's shave on the neck was much better. My razor glided down my windpipe very smoothly, but the sides of my windpipe need work since the hair grows out towards my ears. It is a bit hard to move the razor sideways.
Thanks Again!!!

You might first try skipping the WTG on that area, and instead going XTG from top of windpipe down towards shoulder at about 45 degrees. On the next lathering, go XTG from bottom of windpipe up towards the ear at about 45 degrees. If you think you still need to get closer, do two more XTG passes, reversing the direction of the strokes. Four passes on the neck can give you some burn, so don't do more than you need to. As usual, good prep and lather, sharp blade, light pressure, and low (15-30 degrees) angle will help.
