Thanked: 190Great starter set up. I was hesitant about spike points, but now I love them and prefer them. Sometime when I think the spike point is going to cause trouble on the checks, I put a little air the cheek and change the angle a little to get the spike point off the cheek during a stroke.
I thought this may help you avoid a newbies "cut".
