    Default First Stainless Razor

Hello everyone I have been str8 razor shaving for about 7 months. I have several razors that are carbon steel and for the most part have been able to hone and maintain the edge to my satisfaction (with the exception of a couple). I am purchasing my first stainless razor that will come shave ready. Is there anything I should do different to maintain the edge on razor. BTW it is a Friodur if that makes any difference.
My current way to just maintain:
    1. When I feel that it needs more then stropping I make several passes on an UF Spyderco stone.
    2. Move to 100 strops on linen or canvase.
    3. 100 on leather
After that it is usually good to go as far as just maintaining.
Any suggestions or imput is appreciated. Thank you.

Personally for me i have Two stainless razors n i do not like them as much because they r harder to hone and sharped.

stainless razors were introduced in the 60's from what i know and companies started making them because people found them easier to maintain. What i mean by that is that they are harder to chip or rust

But dont take my word for it i just giving you my opinion

Issues with stainless are way overblown.

I think actually you may find that the stainless razors maintain their edges longer than your carbon ones.

    I have 7-8 stainless razors. I'm a fan!

I'll chime in with what the guys have already said --
there isn't a whole lot different with a stainless blade.
When it becomes dull, touch it up until it's sharp and
    strop as usual.

Another reassurance from me that you should have no issues. You may find it needs a few extra laps on the polishing hone, but that's about all. Friodurs are fantastic blades.
