The general opinion around here is that (much like their razors) the Zeepk hones can't give you an edge that will shave.
If you started with a shave ready razor, you can keep it shave ready with a barber hone (AKA "razor hone" on eBay).

Thanked: 20Yes, it was called a "barber's hone", but I miss what Lynn said was OK from ebay. How does one know? Thanks for your advise guys. That's why I am here.
Maybe I'll use this stone to sharpen wood chisels.

How does one know? Experience, there is no shortcut to it. There are great deals on ebay, but they are only great because only few people have the experience to recognize them as such.
You can read through old threads and find out what barber hones people have gotten and have liked them, as well as those that have been bad.
In my view the best option is to buy in the classifieds on this site from one of the experienced members so that you know what you're getting can actually be used for the intended purpose. In most cases it'll cost you a bit more than if you'll buy it on ebay, but in my opinion the assurance that you're not getting junk is well worth it.

Let 's not forget Utopian is the only person still offering free honing. (as far as i know)
I think what he said was truth and you misunderstand.
This is the problem with zeeps razor and hone.
If person honed more then 1000 razor and cannot get satisfied edge using zeepks hone ? how in the world You will get razor shave ready using that hone?
This is the reason he says that.

If you don't mind lapping your own barber hone. I think I have a partially lapped Pike Eezee hone I can sell you. Good ones are a PITA to lap which is why it isn't already done. I will check when I get home.
PM me if interested.
