Hi everyone, great forum!
hi all,
I've been reading the forums for a few weeks now, and thought I would join. Really great information here, guys. Thanks!
I've had a terrible time with ingrown hairs and no matter the number of blades I use, be it mach 3 or fusion or whatever I try, I just can't seem to get a close enough shave. But the worst of it is, those nasty little ingrowns. I am plagued by them.
I have been told that my only and best option is the straight razor, and while I am a little nervous about trying it on myself, I always ask the barber to make sure he finishes with a straight edge, because I just love the feel of it afterwards. It's the best shave.
That being said, I wonder how much money I have to put together to start out with a kit that won't discourage me (because the blade is awful) but won't break the bank too? I've been out of work the last 4 months, got laid off and can't afford to spend too much.
Anyway, thanks again, for creating a great website. I'm more hyped than ever to start shaving after going through this site.

thanks for the welcome, everyone
if not for this forum, I would have wasted money on one of those "Master"s on ebay, thinking I could start off with a cheaper blade to get used to shaving this way, not realizing it would probably deter me, because of the uselessness of the blade and most likely several nicks!
