    Default Linen strops

Is it necessary to put something on the linen side of the strop ?

    Nope.

Paste is just for touch ups. you can use a barber hone, paste or both.

If you want, you can paste one side of your linen and leave the other clean, and if your razor needs a touching up, strop it on the paste.

I think that the linen component on my Tony Miller works just fine without the need of pastes.

Mine too. If you feel the need to use pastes, best apply them to something a little cheaper on which they'll work just as well.

I got CrOx powder from Neill Miller on eBay and mixed it with a little Johnson's Baby Oil.
