    Default Stropping question

I tried to look this up before I posted, but couldnt find. Due to the setup of my apartment, the only safe comfortable place to hang my stop iis in the closet. The problem lies in the fact that I wake up around 430 am, and my girlfriend is still asleep. The question is, can I strop my razor the night before, and will it be still sharp to shave with in the am? Am I limited to stropping before I shave so I can keep a keen edge on the blade? thanks in advance.

hmmm . . . I couldn't think of why not. Unless the steel would 'settle' from the rest I think you would be fine.

completely fine. What you're doing when stropping is smoothing out the little micro burrs that form in your edge when shaving. The edge is so thin that it can actually get bent on a microscopic level. The strop bends it back, so yes, it can be done well before hand.
And if you want proof, Lynn, and many other honemeisters recommend shaving with one of their blades right out of the mailbox without stropping as they've already stropped it. That means it's been in the mail for a few days minimum before you take it to your face.

ok, thought I'd ask before doing that, then risk having to strop and wake my girlfriend up.
