Default Sheffield feels pretty darn good...

Tried a BENGALL Sheffield today for the first time. It wasn't as sharp as it could have been but for whatever reason felt more forgiving on the skin, quite nice imho.

Is it a wedge ? Grinds heavier than full hollows seem to be more forgiving, especially if they are sharp enough. If it wasn't as sharp as it could have been it will feel really smooth once you get it there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have a full hollow Bengall purchased from Gugi that's by leaps my best shaver.

I'm not sure if it's his honing or the steel, but it gives me a great shave every time with the least irritation of any of my small stable.

    Gotta be both
