    Default Genco Expert

    Hello Everyone,

I just bought a Genco "Expert" (pics below) to keep my Joe Chandler company in the medicine cabinet. I wanted to know if any of you could give me a bit of history about the Genco "Expert" I've done light research, however couldn't find anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

That one was made when Case took over the Geneva Cutlery company and moved the manufacturing facility to Bradford, It's a great razor and will shave well. There is more information on Geneva Cutlery/Genco in the Genco Pura club. http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...enco-pura.html

    Hi Dino,
CarrieM is right. Case bought out Geneva Cutlery in 1936 and produced razors under the Genco name in Bradford Pa. However, in 1957 Case dropped the Genco name completely and just called the razors they made after that Case.

I picked up another Genco model, the "DeRoma", with it's original box a couple of weeks ago from E-Bay. I just got it back after honing, but I've yet to shave with it.
If the info I gathered is right, both your Genco and mine are at least 52 years old.
    Good luck with it,
    Michael
