Thanked: 1GREAT PEOPLE
i just want to say that i think the guys who are members on this site and (shave my face) are stellar individuals. if you want help you get it and they have all been very credible to deal with. it's like a sanctuary from the outside world! today for the first time i have also shaved with my str8 and did not need to go with a touch-up from my double edge razor. i am astounded on how good my face feels compared to using the de. it's not quite as close but after a few minutes my skin feels as though i didn't shave at all. quite remarkable! so thanks to all.

Thanked: 259seems like you are coming along nicely. it does take time to learn proper technique, but it is really worth it when you feel the difference. i also enjoy using some of the old style aftershaves and colognes such as clubman/pinaud brand. i also have about 6 different fragrances of shaving soap(some i make myself and i get even greater joy out of those) good luck

Thanked: 1well right now my aftershave of choice is st. charles shave. i have rose, meditteranian citrus and sandalwood. her aftershaves have a little castor oil in them which gives a nice lubrication as it's applied while my dr. harris is so dry that my hand dries while applying it :-(. i also am using kell's original shaving soap. it has remarkable slickness and lathers well. it's very reasonably priced also. i like the rose and arabian spice.
