Another Newb Checking In
Hello all! Just dropping by to check in and say hello. I have been shaving with a straight for about 2 months and have been taking to it like a duck to water. I registered here a while ago but haven't posted because any question I have had was/is answered with the search function!
I love this place and am astounded by the incredible amount of information on this board. Thanks to all that have made this place such an indispensable source of knowledge that has helped me on this new adventure. You guys and gals are the best! Such a wonderful community.
I have found joy in shaving, which is something that I never expected considering I usually would sport a full beard due to the chore that shaving with a Mach 3 and a can of goo always was. Ahh...WAS...feels so nice to say.
Best,
Mark

Welcome to posting on SRP Mark. Glad that you've had success with shaving with a straight razor.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks, Jimmy! Yeah, lots of fun! And a large dent in my checking account balance... Didn't take long for the RAD and HAD to take hold
I'm a tool/project/tinkerer guy and have all the stuff required for razor restoration in my basement, so I have a few eBabys on the operating table that I will post pics of soon(ish). I'm a recording engineer by trade and keep odd hours most of the time so the restoration bit gets done in small increments.
The two that I have in the works are a Crown & Sword #3 and a Red Imp 133. The Crown is being rescaled in bubinga and the Imp in bloodwood.
