Straight Shave #1
Last week I ordered a 5/8 restored Jim Slick from B&B. Cost: $28 shipped.
Well I got it today and thought "I will just try the cheeks, and only WTG"
That lasted all of 4 seconds. I ended up doing a standard 3 pass shave. No nicks. No cuts. BBS. At least on my cheeks. I think the jawline is actually smoother than I usually get with my DE. Around the goatee too.
I honestly don't think I have ever spent $28 better in my life. It was an incredible shave, and infinitely better than I was expecting on my first shave.
Basically shaving nirvana, I'm hooked.

haha, I will be sure to keep that in mind. And I promise to do my best not to get over confident. Humility is not my strong suit though...
As an added bonus, I just set one of my roommates up with a DE razor, and he may be interested in the wide world of straight razors
I'm looking forward to my first convert.

Thanked: 346That's how it starts. My first shave with a straight was the closest longest lasting shave I had ever experienced. It took me awhile before I could do it again, and even longer before I could do it on demand, but it's been worth it.
