Talking 1st Hot Uber Lather in scuttle --Best feeling ever.

I've been making a lot of progress with few bumps and some trial and error. I am thoroughly enjoying my straight shaving experience. I look forward to it every time. I've been reading the wikis and various help threads. I also been watching Jockeys videos as well as some others and I have learned a whole lot.

Uberlather has been an interest of mine since I started this journey and I've been collecting the essentials to learn how to make it. I have a huge black mug and I decided to construct a makeshift scuttle. So yesterday I found a small fondue bowl from a thrift store that happened to fit perfectly in my mug. I've been anxiously anticipating getting down to business.

I got off work today and refreshed my brain with some tutorials. I took a hot shower, put a kettle on the stove and started the regular preparation routine. I got glycerin, shave soap, and used some C.O. Bigelow's shave cream. It took me some working to get the right amounts of each ingredient but it came out pretty nice.

The uberlather is great. I love the thickness and using a scuttle makes all the difference in the world. There's no better feeling than having that good hot lather brushed into my beard between each pass. I had heard some complaints of the lather not staying hot enough but mine was perfectly warm during the entire shave. Great great experience.

I'd like to give thanks to all you guys for giving me the tools to practice this wonderful art. I have so much to learn and with all of your help I hope to become a shaving master.

I used to uberlather in my metallic scuttle, but it is too small and the lather spills out of it. Nevertheless, I see some people mixing in such a small scuttle like mine. My fault, I guess.
I opted for a porcelain (big breakfast cereals) cup and it is better for me. I fill the sink up with the hottest water and put the cup inside. Water reaches the half of the cup and keeps the lather moderately warm.
I think that uberlathering helps me to shave better, but I am a novice whose skills don't allow me to appreciate the reality of some techniques.
Is uberlathering a real advantage? If not for performances, it is for fun and enjoyment.
    Regards.
