So that's what I have
Thank God, it appears there is help out there!
I got into straight razors (we call them cut throats in Australia) after watching some clips on youtube about sharpening knives. So now I have 12 razors, water stones 400/1000, 2000, 4000, 6000 and 10k, brass rod and tube for new pins (great advice on this site in that regard), and all up about $900.00 Aussie dollars in the hole, all in three months. I need help!! These things are so damn addictive, how did the powers that be ever convince our fathers (yes I'm that old) that DE's were the way to go?? I must admit I've fallen in love with my DE (purchased after reading this site) and actually look forward to getting up in the morning (OK that's a lie) to having a shave in the morning. Not hard when your going from a Gillette disposable. Now if that 200x usb microscrope would hurry up and arrive,,,,,,,,I'll get these cut throats shave ready .

Well, it's very cool that we've managed to take a very tiresome bit of our daily lives and made it fun. I wish I could do that with other aspects of my life. As for RAD (my member name pretty much speaks for itself), I'm not sure that even death can stop it. I have this feeling that, as I approach the pearly gates, a clean shaven St. Peter will look at me and say "hey, is that a Puma?"

Gleefully abandoning hope for a cure
So RAD is incurable eh? I can think of worse fates. At least I'm in good company!
