This guy is alright! Temporary self-delusion for self-respect purposes, followed by rationality, although mixed with a healthy dose of denial, accompanied I am sure by a heady sense of total control over actions, which though untrue, leaving yourself in a state of pleasure and contentment with life. I'm going to try that.
