    Send the razor away for honing! Your razor isn't anywhere close...

    You really need eliminate the chance that you have a dull razor. Then you are left with the fact that it has to be the shaver not the razor.

    +1 to all the advice above, you should really send your razor out to be honed. That way you will know for sure that its sharp and you can then focus on technique!

    I am also contemplating making my own paddle strop because I do not want to have a leather strop hanging in the bathroom or a hook. Any suggestions or thoughts on this?
