    Don't overlook boar brushes. A decent boar brush can be had for $30. Many here on this board even prefer them over higher end badger brushes. I can PM you a link to a great source for them if you want.

    And in case you haven't noticed, the people here don't make it easy to save any money.

    Okay, it has been a week and my observations:
    • It is worth getting out of bed 20 minutes earlier just to shave
    • Found an amazing amount of people when I mention I have taken straight say "Cool, but are you mad??" (BTW, the answer is probably yes...barking mad actually )
    • One of the guys I work with actually uses a DE and may convert
    • DON'T START THINKING ABOUT WHAT ELSE YOU HAVE TO DO!!
    • Items off eBay never come quick enough
    • eBay is addictive
    • What is BBS??? Bloodless Brilliant Shave???
    • My face feels smoother for longer
    • Under and chin and directly under the nose are a PITA
    More to follow as my journey continues

    I'd be careful with shaving from razor off ebay until you get them checked out by a pro or they're marked as 'shave ready' by a reputable seller.

    BBS = baby butt smooth

    Onimaru55 has been helping me out with my eBay purchasing

    I am assuming that is a "baby butt" without nappy rash

    Man, I tell you what, it looks like straight razor shaving is about as wallet draining as bicyling.
