Thanked: 7New to You
I'm not new to Str8s, just SRP (3 yr. Str8er); but I know you well.
I'm not haveing a good day - that's almost a different story, and it's not.
I have a few questions for SRP before I continue here.
- Are you allowed to have a sense of humor here?
- Are people easily offended here - and I'm not talking about cussing, name calling, or just plain being a jerk? Will members put up with light-hearted humor or razing (ribbing), or should I tip-toe around - afraid to say the slighest little thing to bruze someone's ego? If that is the procedure here then Isaid my last post. Understand I have a real good reason for this Q. and I wish I didn't.
If the answers are yes, no - then we're good and the fun will commense.
You see, I get real looney, though I never swear or insult, but I raz and joke constantly; I can not help this, it's a disease.
fyi. ISaid isn't a statement of authority like [I the great know everything, last word on every subject known to man has said], it's simply - I said. . .what I just posted. I suppose though that I will eventually be the most quoted member of SRP for everything "Isaid".
Here it goes - "Submit New Thread". . .

1) We are all full of humor.
2) Not easily offended at all.
SRP is my favorite shave forum for the lovely mix of razzing humor and serious discourse, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. I too have had less than sterling experiences with other forums.
Welcome!
Drew

Thanked: 7WHell, the lack of response compaired to threads posted six minutes later than mine is causing those little hairs to stand up that say "RUN LIKE THE DICKENS!!!"
Maybe I should stick to talking Str8 to people in person, and carrying out my morning habits in complete solitude. That sounds fun. No brothers for me.
Maybe THE FEAR is in the SRP members, I don't know.
Thanks for the support DPflaumer, really.
Signing off.

Thanked: 1262Hitchhiker: You heard of this thing, the 8-Minute Abs?
Ted: Yeah, sure, 8-Minute Abs. Yeah, the excercise video.
Hitchhiker: Yeah, this is going to blow that right out of the water. Listen to this: 7... Minute... Abs.
Ted: Right. Yes. OK, all right. I see where you're going.
Hitchhiker: Think about it. You walk into a video store, you see 8-Minute Abs sittin' there, there's 7-Minute Abs right beside it. Which one are you gonna pick, man?
Ted: I would go for the 7.
Hitchhiker: Bingo, man, bingo. 7-Minute Abs. And we guarantee just as good a workout as the 8-minute folk.
Ted: You guarantee it? That's - how do you do that?
Hitchhiker: If you're not happy with the first 7 minutes, we're gonna send you the extra minute free. You see? That's it. That's our motto. That's where we're comin' from. That's from "A" to "B".
Ted: That's right. That's - that's good. That's good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with 6-Minute Abs. Then you're in trouble, huh?
[Hitchhiker convulses]
Hitchhiker: No! No, no, not 6! I said 7. Nobody's comin' up with 6. Who works out in 6 minutes? You won't even get your heart goin, not even a mouse on a wheel.
Ted: That - good point.
Hitchhiker: 7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.
Ted: Why?
Hitchhiker: 'Cause you're ****in' fired!

Honestly ISaid, why would you choose to judge people on so very little. Given a little bit of time many of these fine folks would have gladly responded to your post. I have found this community to be quirky, dry, a tad bit ocd, and incredibly funny. Of course you occasionally see the flare-ups of folks that allow their conversations to run amok, but they are quickly dealt with by the moderators and most times by the folks involved. I have found no other forum with more genuinely kind and helpful people in it... generally if they have time or answers or whatever is needed at the time, they will drop nearly everything to help somebody in need here.
Please, give these kind and good hearted folks a real chance.
Take it easy whatever your choice,
