I really need help.
Alright so I'm 15 years old and really want to (when I start shaving) shave with a straight razor. But sence I'm 15 I'm on a budget and can't afford a razor for 50-60 dollars or more. I want a decent razor that holds an edge and wont crap out on me after a little use. I'm looking for somthing on the internet for around 30 dollars a little more a little less would be fine. I like the dovo brand but can't find any in my price range.
Please help me out I would like to get one with christmas money but I need help! Thanks

Zach, have you taken a look at the classifieds? If there isn't something now, there will be eventually.
Straight Razors - Straight Razor Place Classifieds
Whatever razor you get, make sure it's shave ready.

If you haven't yet, take the time to read through the Beginner's Guide. Shaving with a straight and maintaining a straight takes some thought and skill, so a little education will help a lot.

By the way, congratulations on being interested in using a straight razor at 15. I was terrified when I thought about starting it earlier this year (at 20). But it really is awesome.

Thanked: 259hi and welcome..glad to see someone your age thinking about shaving this way...look in the classifieds here and you will find some great deals..make sure the razor you get is shave ready, this is the utmost in must haves. without being shave ready you are at a disadvantage from the start...good luck and enjoy the experience....

Well I collect knives so that is a big part on why I want to shave with a straight razor. My mom thinks I'm weird but I don't care. Although I don't really have alot of facial hair and don't really need to shave I will by the time I'm 16 I'm sure so it will be good to have everything ready to use.

Thanked: 132Welcome aboard Zach.
Be sure to check out the wiki section...it is loaded with the ins and out of straight shaving as well as the equipment needed and what to avoid.
Interact with the people on here and you'll find that people in general are quite willing to help ya out with your needs and any questions you may have.
With regards to your ebay straight...i recomend ya pm one of the gentlemen that offer honing service, in the classifieds section, to evaluate whether your straight is salvagable.
