    Default thanks in advance

I'm very new to the website, and shaving with a straight. What i was wondering was where on this site is the best place to find out info on razors (histroy). I have recently been given my some of my grandfathers old razors(2). was looking for some info on them. if someone could direct me in the right direction that would be great.
Also one of the razors has wood scales which have some cracks in them, is it possible to fix them? i've looked in the wiki for repairing wood scales but haven't seen anything(not sure if "i can't see for looking"). the same razor seems to have bent? pins, the blade does not close squarely. is this hard to fix?
any and all help will be greatly apperciated!

It is pretty hard for us to asses the condition of a blade or scales without pictures, so if you could, would you please upload some? At the very least you may be able to find someone willing to give it a shot.

We also have a few members here with ridiculous knowledge of makers and history, I'm sure one of them will be along to help you out. It might help there if you could post the makers and/or any stamps on the tang and/or any blade etching.

Welcome to SRP. If you can post pictures people can help you identify the razors you have. Also you can check out the SRP database in the WIKI and here's a link to Razor manufactures. Use this site to learn how to shave and care for your razors, the Wiki is full of information and if you ask questions someone is always willing to help. Good luck and again welcome.
