Strop,soap and sticks
Hi everyone,
I have just bought my first straight cut throut razor.
It was a used and shave ready THOMAS TURNER 5/8ths FULL HOLLOW GROUND RAZOR
For my first open razor shave
i would like to have a strop, soap and probably antiseptic sticks.
Anybody out there who can sell this most needed things?
Or some advice where to buy it?
By the way,i live in sweden and it would be nice if its near me
for low postage....but i will consider every advice around the world.
Let me know guys.

Always nice to see more Scandinavian people here.
Don't forget a brush if you haven't got one - hard soap pretty much needs one.
Bodyshop sells quite good brushes and cream (so I've heard), and you might check out your local stores. You can ask stypics, alum (afaik, these aren't antiseptic, just astringent) and antiseptics from pharmacy. I think you'll have to order the strop from somewhere, if you don't find materials to do it yourself.
I have distinct memory that there would be a online shaving shop in sweden (I'm not sure if it was executive-shaving or something), but I can't find it anymore... Maybe you have better luck.

Welcome to SRP Sven! One of the best places to get all you have listed there is Straight Razor Designs. The Thompsons Woodworking brushes, IMHO, are the best out there.I would check out "The Well Shaved Gentleman" Heirloom Razor Strop Comp. also, for a strop, Tony Miller makes the best strops also. Try the 3" Red Latigo (Beginners Strop). It works great!

Classicshaving.com carries a full line of products. I got my dovo and strop there. Mammabear.com makes good soaps as does saintcharlesshave.com Floppyshoes makes excellent brushes so I would pm him.
